"Only criticism was when I came to fit the awning. It would be better if the steel mounting brackets that screw to the wall were a bit bigger (longer) by about 50mm, and make them so that the mounting holes were pitched at 150mm apart instead of 100mm. That way, you would be less likely to need to put a rawlbolt into the mortar between courses of bricks ; or, less likely to hit the "frog" of the brick (the empty space of the brick, that should be filled with mortar, if you are lucky!). I had to use 2-part resin to fix my awning securely (as well as RawlBolts), because I hit the "frogs" with each of the - when fitting to a standard house-brick wall. This may only affect certain ranges of Primrose Awnings, may not be all of them. Mine was a "Budget Awning - 3.0m Manual, Multi Stripe". RossC"

"The awning itself is what we were expecting. It took considerably longer than 2 hours to put up; due to the need to purchase 4 (from a local hardware store) much better expansion bolts as the ones supplied were (obviously) cheap/budget and didn't do the job! Having inserted the supplied bolts - which we were then unable to get out, it was necessary to drill a further 2 holes to use new bolts!!! The winding mechanism on awning had slipped around which made winding out very difficult but after adjusting this we had no further problems. Having said all that we would recommend this Budget Awning it does the job for the price; and easy for 2 people to erect with right equipment!"

"Good quality awning. Does just the job. However, small spirit level at front of awning was broken so unable to use. This has not stopped use of the item though, just made it a little more challenging to ensure tilt of awning was level."
