"The winder is effective, but of course the torque needed to raise the blind is not reduced, so it does require a strong grip to make it work without breaking one's wrist. Therefore not really suitable for my wife - which was the original reason for its purchase - but I do find it less of a boring task myself. Also, I would say it is rather overpriced - about £60 still wouldn't be cheap!"

"Could get an Excellent if the pins holding the sections of the poll together we're better designed. They tend to slip out occasionally lucky I've been able to find them. Otherwise it's great."

"This is a very good item which saves a lot of hard work. It does as it says on the tin. But beware - assembly of the various components of the 'rod' is not easy since it requires a metal dowel to be inserted to connect the components and the holes to accommodate the dowel must be lined up precisely. Would recommend."
